Whether you’re exploring the scenic beauty of Hocking Hills or searching for unforgettable family-friendly things to do in Ohio, this experience is a must.
As pioneers in hands-on interactions with Asian Small-Clawed Otters, we were the first in the country to introduce Painting with Otters and are now proud to offer this immersive, educational encounter. Our new facility sets the stage for you to meet these incredible animals up close while learning about their habitats and conservation.

Native to Southeast Asia, Asian Small-Clawed Otters are the smallest otter species in the world. Known for their playful nature and remarkable dexterity, they use their partially webbed paws to manipulate objects, hunt for food, and play with each other. Unfortunately, these adorable otters face threats from habitat loss, pollution, and illegal wildlife trade. This encounter provides an opportunity to learn about their behaviors, challenges, and the ongoing global efforts to protect them. This encounter lasts an hour and a half.

We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to tour our farm and meet our diverse array of animals, all included with your ticket purchase!
To ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, we manage encounter bookings based on the number of participants in our barn. Please note that only guests with a swimming encounter ticket are permitted in the pool room. However, you are welcome to observe through our designated observation window in a separate room without purchasing an additional ticket. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy.
